TRAIN
It’s easy to travel to Umeå by train. Norrtåg and SJ operate services in northern Sweden.

FLIGHTS
Flying to Umeå is fast and convenient from several destinations within and outside of Sweden. SAS, Norwegian and Finnair fly directly in and out of Umeå.

Getting around Umeå

Umeå is an easy-to-navigate city where most places are within convenient reach. This makes it simple to travel between the city centre and the airport, and wherever your destination is within Umeå – whether you are walking, cycling, taking the bus, or using an e-scooter.

ON FOOT/BY BIKE
Distances in Umeå are short, making the city ideal for both walking and cycling. If you are staying in a hotel downtown, it is likely that you will need to walk just a few minutes to reach the venues of the meeting.

BUS
Bus connections are excellent. You can easily plan your journey via the app of the local public transport company called Ultra or via their website.

Meeting Venues

Please note that Vävenscenen and P5 are located in the same building complex but have entrances on different sites of the building thus the different addresses.

Vävenscenen

During the meeting, Vävenscenen and the related Kajscenen give home to the Welcome Reception, the Main Meeting (all days), poster sessions and the coffee and lunch breaks during the Main Meeting.

P5

During the meeting, P5 gives home to the YIM (both days), GL Satellite Workshop, Operations and Coordination Meeting, Steering Committee Meeting, and the Gala Dinner.
